HLWW Community Ed Gymnastics

Open to all area youth!

Location: Humphrey Hall Gymnastics Area at MAWSECO In Howard Lake

Pre-K Tumbling/Intro to Gymnastics

This class is for preschool aged kids who are wanting to learn the foundations of gymnastics. We will work on stretching, balance, focus, fine and gross motor exercises, preparatory beam and vault activities, and introductory tumbling and bar skills.

Beginner/Intermediate Gymnastics

This class is for kids aged 5 or older who have minimal to no gymnastics experience. We will rotate through all four gymnastics events (vault, bars, beam, and floor) working on skills in each. Class will be structured to properly accommodate each student’s level and allow skill progression.

Intermediate/Advanced

This class is for kids aged 7 or older who have some previous gymnastics experience and can properly execute the pre-requisites on each event. We will rotate through all four gymnastics events (vault, bars, beam, and floor) working on skills and conditioning in each.

Pre-Requisites For Intermediate/Advanced Level:

• Floor: Cartwheel, Round-Off, Front Limber, Bridge-Kickover
• Vault: Handstand to Forward Roll on Resi Mat
• Beam: Straight Jump, Tuck Jump, Split Jump, Half Turn, Handstand on Low Beam
• Bars: Casts, Leg Cut, Pull Over, Glide Swing

Thursdays 12:30-1:30 pm
